We are all involved through our attentiveness and presence at every part of Mass. Some have particular liturgical roles. One of these is the ministry of the Word.
The reader has a vital contribution to make to the celebration of Mass. Catholics believe that Christ is present in his Word since it is he himself who speaks when the readings are proclaimed at Mass. This presumes readers are able and willing to communicate God’s Word. This is an important act of service to the whole community.
The readers of St Dominic’s Parish read on Sundays and weekdays, holydays of obligation and at other liturgical celebrations for example, the Annual Carol Service.

Good nourishment provides the body with everything it needs for growth, strength, and health. We have food pyramids, nutrition apps, and even personal trainers to help us keep our bodies in good condition. Why do we spend so much time caring for the body while neglecting the state of our souls?
